Scion-Sprays demonstrated the application of the Quantum Fuel Injection™ (QFI™) product solution on different engines beside a live test injector. Monitors illustrated the successful testing of the concept. From the start stand 116 was busy with delegates curious to see what the product was about and enthusiastic to learn more about the QFI™ product solution.
Scion-Sprays team was joined on Monday and Tuesday by Maurice Gunderson, Expert Team Member, who was on hand to help answer the many questions posed.
Visitors to the stand included Bosch, Honda, Walbro, Kawasaki, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Komatsu, Suzuki, Keihin, Delphi, Yamaha, Californa Environmental Agency, Husqvarna and many more.
Jeff Allen, Managing Director of Scions-Sprays, presented a paper "A Novel Low Cost High Frequency Fuel Injection System for Small Engines" which was well received by a good turnout of delegates.
The SETC 2006 was hosted by the SAE and was jointly sponsored by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. (JSAE). The conference theme, Future Trends in Small Engine Technology, was discussed via SAE papers in the subject areas of Engines; Fuels and Lubricants; Safety and Human Factors; Vehicle Dynamics and Structure; Noise, Vibration and Harshness; Environmental Impact; Components and Materials; and Production Technology (www.sae.org/events/set/).
