IMS DELIVERS AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS TO SCION-SPRAYS
Late in 2007, Scion-Sprays commissioned IMS www.ims-nl.com , a Dutch automation specialist, to undertake a pre-engineering study into the design and assembly of Scion-Sprays’ pulse count injector. The Scion-Sprays and IMS engineering teams worked together to make a complete design for manufacture review of the injector. This resulted in a significant reduction in the number of components as well as the complexity of some of the components, without compromising functionality.
In the second phase of the project, IMS have generated an assembly procedure and specified the necessary production line for producing the injectors in high volume. IMS has recently delivered the final concept and subject to confirmation of final injector specifications a production line can now be built. The timing is coming together perfectly with development in commercial activities and the development of the Scion-Sprays complete product solution.
