Scion-Sprays has developed a new version of its QFI (Quantum Fuel Injection) engine management system for motorcycles.
The latest system uses the generation 4 injector, which is a mass production design, and contains many other upgrades and improvements over the previous version.
The PCB is a new 4-layer design incorporating various EMC protection improvements as well as extra functionality. Control of a stepper motor for idle air control or full electronic throttle is included, as is a K-line communication interface and a new waterproof connector.
The control system is now capable of running multi-tooth or single tooth flywheels, and using throttle position or manifold vacuum as a load indicator. There is a single pressure sensor integrated into the module for this.
The motorcycles are being used for ongoing development work as well as customer demonstration work.
